Despite a whole day of song and dance, people demanded proof! And so here it is in titanium and gold.
That flash seems to show every wrinkle and blemish on my face, but Satoko looks great so that's ok. Yes, my eyes always look like that. This photo has outed my super-anti-hero laser vision powers that allow me to spot a peach at 100 paces. Well, a man can dream ...

Congrats guys! Yes, I'm still lurking back here reading your blog! :-)
You look like you had a great time! Best of luck for the future!
Thanks Delboy. It was a good day, but a bit overwhelming. From the Shinto ceremony in the morning, to this party interview in the evening ... like being in some kind of TV drama.
Thought about popping in to your pub on our honeymoon in London, but only had time for family stuff and a bit of sightseeing and shopping for Satoko. Then it was on to Greece. More photos soon ...
Can't believe you didn't pop in - oh well, shopping in London does take precedence over a pint in the pub for most women!
Did you like Greece? Where'd you go? The islands? I lived in Santorini for 8 months - fantastic!
One of the great things about J-girls is that pretty much all of them like beer! So we had a number of pub lunches, but no errands that took us over Notting Hill way, sorry DB. ;-)
Greece was pretty good. Santorini (Fira) & Athens, 2 nights each. We did have some bad flight times and a few other things that dampened our spirits a bit, unfortunately.
Also, perhaps after five days of dealing with Londoners who just don't give a sh*t about tourists, it was a bit too soon to deal with loud Greeks who (unlike say Balinese) don't seem to value tourist dollars - without which they would all be fisherfolk (and possibly happier). Very different from Japan.
Don't get me wrong - we met some very nice people, Greeks included, and Fira is beautiful, but, well - I come from NZ!
As a friend observed: some tourist 'hotspots' can't be properly appreciated unless you live there. So lucky you if you have!
Thanks good sir.
Congratulations yourself!
Presumably I am addressing that woman's man, man's man, man about town "CM", am I not?
Cheers,
Nick.
Thanks QV. There were certainly a few girls there who might have tried. I must admit that Miki-chan would have been hard to resist after her beautiful voice won me over. ;-)
Other photos are coming through and I'll post them soon now that I'm getting the net sorted at home.
Japanese internet is crazy: 3 boxes (VADSL modem, router, IP movie set top box), 4 CDs (some didn't work on Satoko's Mac, others wouldn't work on non-Japanese Windows) and a whole library of instructions, manuals, brochures etc.
Sir L: I want to visit home as soon as possible. There are too many beautiful girls here - my eyes are irreparably damaged!
